The service at the Model Workshop in Royston (once you find it) is friendly and knowledgeable. It is great for beginners or modellers wishing to branch out, because when you buy a model from them, they will help you to set it up and get going (you don't get that kind of service at most places).

There is a really great variety of good quality helicopters, quad copters, planes and cars there for which you can also buy all of the spares and accessories when you need them (which we all do regularly :-) If they don't have what you want in stock, they will usually get it in for you within a few days and if you pre-pay as a BMFA member, you can sign up to their loyalty scheme and get an extra 5% discount.

There is also a Hornby section as well as traditional modelling supplies and Airfix kits and if all of this isn't enough, there is also a great flight simulator on a massive screen with a huge range of models to fly that you can use for free and the coffee is and hot chocolate that they sell is worth a trip out for by itself. It is no wonder that so many people spend so much time in there.
