I have been shopping at Wonderland Models for years and they have, without doubt the best selection of plastic model kits in the country. Everything from all the top model making manufacturers and if they don't have what you want then they simply order it in for you which usually only takes a couple of days. Richard and Roderick in the plastic kits department are both very knowledgeable and often give me invaluable advice. I can highly recommend both the store and the staff to anyone.
This really is a treasure of a model shop. Came across it while on holiday in Edinburgh. I only wish that there was a shop like this closer to home. My kids loved the place..in fact the only way I could get them to leave was by offering to buy them ice creams.<br /><br /> The selection of Papo and Schleich animals was the biggest we had ever seen. They seemed to have absolutely everything so we certainly stocked up. Staff were very friendly towards my children too and made them feel really special.<br /><br /> Highly recommend that you visit this store if you are lucky enough to be passing.
Visited Wonderland Models when I was in Edinburgh and boy is this what you call a proper model shop. There was a huge selection of plastic model kits which was great for me but I have never seen such array of Papo and Schleich model figures and animals anywhere! This meant that while I was browsing the models, my children were kept busy selecting which of the latest animals they wanted to buy. Staff were very helpful as well. I only wish more model shops were like this.

Very unimpressed with the manager's attitude to customer service. I bought a kite there today as a present for my nephew, but after discussing the purchase with my brother, decided it would be better to choose a different one. <br /><br /> <br /><br /> So returned to shop 5 minutes later and selected a different one - which turned out to be cheaper - but they refused to give me a refund for the difference in price (they offered me a store credit instead). OK, so they are not legally obliged to offer a refund if the item isn't faulty (although they *are* legally obliged to do so if you order from their website), but it doesn't say much for their attitude to customers.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> I feel I've been robbed, and that they are clearly are only interested in getting my money - once they've got that, they don't give a damn about customer satisfaction. I won't be going back there again. The difference in price was only a few quid, but clearly they felt they would rather keep my few quid and loose me as a future customer.
I ordered a Maserati GT model of a particular manufacturer on the 11th November, but got sent the wrong one. I was told to return it by post and that postage would be refunded to my card and the correct car resent.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> After returning the incorrect car, I have emailed the company 4 times and got only 1 reply, that the car was out of stock and they are waiting on it from the supplier. No eta was projected, and neither was postage fees refunded. I have yet to hear back from the company after my last emails. It is now 27 days from the day I placed my order and I am still waiting in the dark. Appalling customer service and is going to totally ruin my Christmas plans for a special someone. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.
