Me too Wayne. I was recommended to go to this shop and was quite excited to find out where it was. I was told how friendly the shop was and they even demonstrate drones to show how versatile they are. I walked in and was confronted by a stare. I felt I shouldn't have walked in. I asked questions about drones and it seemed that because I didn't show too much interest in the most expensive drone I wasn't worthy of giving the time of day. Consequently I went elsewhere and I'm pleased to say my wife paid over a thousand pound for a drone because it was my birthday.

Visited the shop for first time today. Needed one way bearing and pull starter, shop was empty I was the only customer, the shopkeeper was staring me out like i was a thief. I asked if he stocked the parts I needed, the guy said no. Very moody atmosphere, steer clear. Very unhelpful, need course in manners!

Just called them as a complete novice, wanted to know what to look for on their website and as my local shop what was available to me as a large scale beginners aircraft. got told to look on the kit section. asked about the rc controller and motors got told they are separate, ( which I knew but wanted to find out as a beginner a bit more in regards total cost). Call terminated by shop as they just said "OK bye" after my last question.

My first call and last call to them as showed not really interesting in advising customers or being remotely helpful - Really bad customer service to first timer. Now looking further afield and will not be contacting this shop again which is a ten minute drive from my house.

Wow!! what a fantastic store. The manager is the most knowledgeable that I have come across, Friendly, helpful, and gives a Five Star Service.

I have been using Al's Hobbies for the last 2 years since I started to learn how to fly RC helicopter as a beginner. I found this shop been very helpful. Amir, the shop manager always willing to help and give useful advices.

Customer service wasn't good, entered the shop and a member of staff was argueing with a customer.Asked for a starter kit and was told to look 'over there'.Even phoned up to ask if they had a spare part, and was asked if i tried the other side?? I said what other side.Would not recommend this store.Wasn't how it use to be many years ago.

Shop is ok but store manager is very rude and grumpy, not polite at all, if its everything ok with your purchase its ok, but if u have any problem better to look advise somewhere elsewhere.Next time will look other place to buy RC.

Every time i visit the shop to spend money, the staff are always miserable and grumpy.

An attentive smile and a little conversation goes along way.

They need to attend a sales course quickly?

Never actually been in the shop, but have used the als hobbies online shop plenty of times. They have always been very good at deliving items quickly, and have lots in stock. I am into electric park flyers mainly and they have got everything you need. Good shop, would recommend.
